Katrina Yaukey and Martin Moran will assume the roles of Sally Bowles and Ernst Ludwig in the current Broadway revival of Cabaret Oct. 27 when Susan Egan and Peter Benson exit the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical at Studio 54. Yaukey, who currently understudies the lead role, is making her Broadway debut in Cabaret. She will take on the lead until a final Sally Bowles is announced. Moran will reprise the role he played prior to Benson — who exits the show to appear in the upcoming Broadway revival of Wonderful Town.

The actors will join the current cast — who will stay with the run through Jan. 4, 2004 — of Adam Pascal (as the Emcee), Tony Roberts (as Herr Schultz) and Blair Brown (as Fraulein Schneider), with Rick Holmes (as Clifford Bradshaw) and Liz McConahay (as Fraulein Kost).

The long-running musical recently announced a new closing date of Jan. 4, 2004 following a boost in ticket sales when its "final weeks" were advertised. Roundabout recently purchased Cabaret's current home Studio 54 and has slated a revival of the Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman musical Assassins to inaugurate the newly-acquired space as the non-profit's new Broadway musical venue in March of 2004.

The musical directed by Sam Mendes with Rob Marshall, featuring the music of Kander, the lyrics of Ebb and book by Joe Masteroff, opened on Broadway March 19, 1998. It won four Tony Awards that year including Best Revival of a Musical.
