Martin Moran is returning to the role of Ernst Ludwig in Cabaret. He will replace Peter Benson, currently in rehearsals for Wonderful Town, who departs the acclaimed revival on October 26.

Moran previously starred in Cabaret from November 1999 to January 2001. In addition to Cabaret, he has appeared on Broadway in Oliver!, Big River, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Titanic and Bells Are Ringing, in which he played the standout role of Dr. Kitchell, a dentist with showbiz in his soul. His off-Broadway credits include Cider House Rules, Floyd Collins and A Man of No Importance.

Cabaret currently stars Susan Egan as Sally Bowles, Vance Avery as the Emcee, Rick Holmes as Clifford Bradshaw, Blair Brown as Fraulein Schneider, Tony Roberts as Herr Schultz, Liz McConahay as Fraulein Kost and Peter Benson as Ernst Ludwig. Adam Pascal will take over the role of the Emcee on October 17. There is still no word from Roundabout about who the final Sally will be--Egan is currently only contracted through October 26, and Cabaret is not scheduled to close until January 4.
